It's hard to believe that this fabulous two storey home in the heart of Cheltenham, was once a derelict bungalow. (see some before pictures below) Our client purchased the site which had permission to demolish the bungalow and replace it with two new houses. After some discussion and initial feasibility sketches, we set about designing a remodel that would retain the original 4 outside walls but add another storey as well as significantly remodelling the interior spaces. We retained as many structural walls as we could to reduce construction costs and used our significant construction experience to facilitate the most practical way to add another floor. The scheme was well received by the local planning authority and neighbours alike. The final result is a striking spacious modern dwelling complete with a separate two bed annexe and a great outdoor pool and landscaped garden.
